The moon enters Taurus at 6:02 am ET. Even though this weekend is before the New Moon/Solar Eclipse on Sunday, it still sets up some good days for new ventures (keeping in mind the retrograde Venus).

The mood is tranquil and focused on appreciating the moment. Surround yourself in beautiful environments if possible.

Take a long lunch if you can; smell the flowers, listen to the birds, hold hands. Allow yourself to simply be in a place that feeds your senses, if only for a short time.

Even if you’ve a super hard day at work, come home to some food you really enjoy and unwind in a way that soothes you. It is worth taking the time to baby yourself. When you truly savor some moments of life that you love, you reconnect to the wonder and magic of being human.

Similar energy to yesterday, although not as intense. It’s actually an excellent day to evaluate a financial or relationship commitment with a relatively cool head.

You may feel a strong need to move forward with a project or action, but this is not the perfect time. Do it if you must, with the awareness that strong boundaries are in place. This may strengthen your resolve and discipline which can be a good thing as long as the hoops are not too numerous or discouraging for you to jump.

The moon is VOC* from 5:44 pm ET through next morning.

*Moon VOC/Void-of-Course… in Aries, do some movement- either exercise, walk or drive… because the desire to move forward can be thwarted by the VOC. If you’re going somewhere new make sure you have clear directions and a map because fast movement can miss turns.

This is not a day where people are inclined to back down, although perhaps you should. Especially if you’re one of the people born with Aries, Capricorn, Libra or Cancer strong in your horoscope- you may feel a fire within or coming at you.

A Mars/Pluto picture in the sky supports those who know where their passion and drive is going, but it’s important not to get swept up in stalemates and power struggles.

The best advantage is to keep in mind the integrity of a relationship. If it’s not there, you can’t fabricate it. You can only hold up your end.

This is a time when you can pull up your courage and make hard decisions.

It’s better to be alone as an individual, than to be alone in a relationship. If you choose to continue to pull the weight for a business or marriage now and through September, you may be pulling it for another seven years until you re-evaluate that choice again.

This may not be what is coming up for you now, but any relationship concerns that present themselves today or tomorrow hold clues to be pondered. Get moving in some way today, but make it safe and without anger.

This is compounded by the retrograde of Venus** at 10:33 am. If your work day does not lend itself to such activities, plan to organize, clear your desk or engage in projects already begun. Avoid important meetings, especially for the first time or that involve contracts.

Once the moon enters Aries in the early evening, you may get a jump-start to act on something. However, with Venus Retrograde, signals may get confused, like you want to “go” but the venues are closed or your BFF can’t make it.

A brisk walk or workout can help move the blocked energy in your body so you can wind down and focus. *Moon VOC/Void-of-Course… in Pisces, creativity may be high, if one isc already in the midst meof a project. Ins..piration is more fluid than electric. This is also an excellent time to meditate and do conscious prayer-work or volunteer activities.

** Venus Retrograde: Money seems in short supply. Since she turns retrograde just shy of an exact trine (hamonious aspect) to Saturn, it indicates a pulling away from fiscal responsibility. This can manifest several ways; those who should pay more for something feel unable to (regardless of whether or not this is true) so asking for a raise or loan becomes harder.

On the other hand, those who need to tighten their belts or pay more attention to finances may run in the opposite direction. Ideally, you look at whether something you want to buy has the value assigned to it; if you feel it does, then it’s worth it. People are more apt to buy things of solid worth than impulse items, which are sure to disappoint.

In general, when Venus is retrograde, relationships gain in seriousness, even if they are fleeting. So whether business or romantic, you may find an increased responsibility in any exchange you have with another.

Older people can seem more compelling and an old lover or friendship can crop up. If you’re a creative person, this is a good time to rework a dormant project but not to start with a fresh inspiration. So go easy on yourself if you feel “dried up”. It’s better to pull out something on the shelf and re-consider it. Avoid new hair styles, any cosmetic surgery or any makeover, whether body, wardrobe or home.

Traditionally, weddings are not advised during this time or new businesses launched- but it depends on the circumstances. For instance, the birth charts of the individuals and/or the type of business must be taken into account. An antique business may do well, as can the marriage of two people with an age difference.

Venus is retrograde through June 27, 2012 in the sign of Gemini, so relationships between siblings, neighbors and through electronic and verbal communications are especially challenged at this time.

Compromise needn’t mean caving in, but it does require an understanding between pride and the greater goal. If you feel that it’s all personal, it might be time to get out of your way and see the situation objectively.

If you’re having trouble doing this, find a trusted source to hear you out and share their observations. Sometimes this comes from getting quiet enough to listen to your heart without your brain voicing its opinions. Clarity increases as the day goes on; by evening solid decisions and handshakes can strengthen your convictions.
